Show Synopsis
When Marshall (Jason Segel) asks his girlfriend Lily (Alyson Hannigan) to marry him, Ted (Josh Radnor) realises that he wants to find the woman of his dreams, when he meets Robin Scherbatsky (Cobie Smulders) who he thinks is his perfect woman, but destiny & his friend Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) might have something different in mind.

Character
Marshall Eriksen, a Lawyer. He works at Goliath National Bank to earn money for him and his wife Lily’s future and to help pay off Lily’s credit card debt. His ultimate goal in becoming a lawyer is to work at a law firm that works to save the environment.

Season Five filming complete, last episodes air through May 2010. Renewed for a sixth season (airing in 2010-2011 television season).

  • Jason won the role of Marshall on How I Met Your Mother because of his work on Freaks & Geeks, as Carter Bays and Craig Thomas were huge fans of the show.
